It was time to relaunch our website! It had been over 10 years since I’d written anything, around the time that Facebook took over as the dominate way to communicate with friends and family. I’ve appreciated going through all the old posts, updating them to the new format, deleting some that were no longer of any real value. (I also needed to update the platform to the latest version of PHP, which broke the site a couple times before I got it all working again.)

Going through the old posts brought back a lot of memories, most of them happy ones. The posts that weren’t so happy are now gone, and that’s not to say they didn’t hold meaning at the time. But I say, if they aren’t useful anymore, it’s time to go.

I don’t know how often I’ll post here. I have a Substack that I started almost two months ago. I’m trying to write something there at least a couple days a week. Those will be mostly political, and here is where I’ll write about what’s going on with us. I still need to figure out where to post photos I want to share, but that will come in time.

We are doing well – still enjoying retired life in the midwest. Stella is doing well for 11 1/2 years. She likes to wake me up at 4am for her breakfast and a visit outside. I’d love to push her schedule a little later, but every attempt is met with fierce resistance. Do not mess with a black Chihuahua!
